Strong public health efforts are underway to slow the spread of the COVID-19 virus, and many of our residents and businesses need support during this trying time. This site is a way to help connect the community with resources and share stories. We are in this together. Livingstone Shire Council is working hard to ensure the safety of our residents, businesses, employees, and visitors.

We’ve previously shared recommendations and best practices from Queensland Health on protecting yourself from exposure to the COVID-19 virus. We encourage you to continue to pay attention to those recommendations and monitor advice , as guidance is changing based on the evolving nature of the COVID-19 outbreak. In addition, we have developed contingency plans for our critical operations should the COVID-19 situation further deteriorate.

    My family asked me to take steps towards self isolating about two weeks ago. This meant that i had to give up many of the activities that i was doing, cards, family visits, attending church services, visiting the library and popping to the shops if required.
