Livingstone Shire Council was approached by members of the Keppel Sands community to continue our placemaking footprint into the township. Council sought input from residents/interested persons regarding the proposed use of amenities block on (northern end) of Schofield Parade and the amenities block at the Keppel Sands Caravan Park.

Feedback from 100 interested persons has been collated and was shared with the LSC Placemaking Reference Group (which is comprised of community volunteers) and it is expected that artwork installation (on the northern block) will commence later this month. The KS Caravan Park works is expected to commence before the end of the financial year.

Council will also now consider expansion of artworks to include the southern amenities block along Schofield Parade (based on public suggestions).
