Emu Park Centenary of ANZAC Memorial Walkway – Stage 4 Extension

Stage four of the Emu Park Centenary of ANZAC Memorial Walkway continues the vision of the original master plan, extending the pathway north from the current boardwalk to Peace Park. The concept design enhances connections back into the Emu Park town centre and introduces new opportunities for reflection, storytelling, and accessibility.

This stage will complete the full commemorative journey along the coastline, strengthening the walkway’s role as a nationally recognised place of remembrance and community pride.

Memorandum of Understanding - Emu Park RSL Sub Branch and Livingstone Shire Council

Livingstone Shire Council and the Emu Park RSL Sub-Branch have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to formalise their shared commitment to the Emu Park Centenary of ANZAC Memorial Walkway Stage 4 Extension Project.

This agreement outlines each organisation’s role in supporting design, fundraising, and project delivery, ensuring the continuation of this nationally significant memorial for the community and future generations.

Under the MOU, the Emu Park RSL Sub Branch committed to progressing Stage 4 to a shovel-ready stage and successfully raised $60,000 — with the generous support of the Bendigo Community Bank ($25,000) and the RSL Central Queensland District ($10,000) — to prepare the concept design and cost estimate package, which Council approved in October 2025.

Under the MOU, the Emu Park RSL Sub Branch will now lobby State and Federal Governments to secure construction funding. Once funding is secured, Council will manage the tendering and delivery of the project.
