Livingstone Shire Council is developing a Flying Fox Roost Management Plan for various flying-fox roosts within the region. Your valued feedback is important to inform the Plan.

Flying foxes, sometimes known as fruit bats, regularly visit Livingstone Shire. Council is preparing a Flying-fox Roost Management Plan to assist in reducing the impacts of flying foxes on Livingstone Shire communities whilst also conserving flying foxes and the important ecosystem services they provide. The Plan will focus on four flying fox roosts that sometimes conflict with human settlement. These roosts are located at:

  • Marlborough
  • Yeppoon
  • Emu Park
  • Keppel Sands.

Council is looking for your feedback with this survey, and your responses will be used to inform the Plan. The survey consists of multiple-choice and optional short-answer responses. It will take approximately 10 minutes to complete.

Survey responses will be broadly summarised in the Plan. Your responses will not be identifiable, and your details will not be published, shared or used for any other purpose.
