16 June - Mayor Ireland encourages all LSC enrolled voters

16 June 2022

Mayor Andy Ireland is strongly encouraging all residents to participate and ‘Vote No’ in the upcoming boundary change survey.

Starting next week all enrolled voters will receive a survey in the mail from the Electoral Commission Queensland asking if they support the boundary change.

Mayor Ireland said that even though you may not live in the suburbs of Glenlee, Glendale and Rockyview, the outcome of this survey will affect you and it is vital that all residents take part in the survey.

“All residents within the Livingstone Shire Council will feel the repercussions through reduced services, increase of rental costs for those renting and significantly increased rates for homeowners.

“The implications of this proposed boundary change are for current and future generations and will have a diabolical effect on the Livingstone Shire.

“We are strongly urging everyone in the community to vote no and send the message to leave Livingstone alone!”
