Why are we consulting on access and inclusion?

    Livingstone Shire Council is committed to strengthening and valuing diversity through inclusive, equitable and accessible services. Using the Community Engagement Framework and Get Involved facilitates the communities vital involvement in ensuring this process is responsive to the community’s need/s and views. 


    Is this consultation just for people who have disability?

    No. We would like to hear from all members of the community about ways the community can be more accessible and inclusive for everyone no matter their ability, age, gender or culture. 

    How will my feedback be used?

    Survey responses are anonymous. Feedback will be used to inform;

    Livingstone Shire Council;

    State Government agencies developing Disability Access and Inclusion Plans (DAIPs); and

    Groups implementing the National Disability Strategy (2010-2020) in Queensland.

    What if I can’t access the online survey or attend a community session?

    Please contact The Community Development and Engagement Team on 4913 3840 to arrange an alternative survey format. 

    Will the community have access to the final report?

    Yes. Once complete the report will be available via the Council website. Once released there will be promotion advising where to find it.
