Community Views Results Reveal What Matters Most to Livingstone Residents
Livingstone Shire residents have shared their thoughts on what makes the region a great place to live, and what could make it even better, through Council’s Livingstone Views 2025 survey.
More than 800 residents took part in the survey, which provides a snapshot of local liveability and helps Council understand community values, experiences, and aspirations for the future.
Residents rated Livingstone’s overall liveability at 60.0 out of 100, slightly above the Central Queensland average of 57.2, highlighting that most people see the Shire as a good place to live.
The findings show that feeling safe, access to the natural environment, and a strong sense of community are the top factors contributing to local quality of life.
However, residents also identified opportunities for improvement in areas such as healthcare access, affordable housing, transport, and leisure options.
This survey has provided valuable insights that will guide Council’s future planning and advocacy.
