Have Your Say: Walking Network Plans for Keppel Sands and Taranganba/Lammermoor

Livingstone Shire Council is developing Walking Network Plans (WNPs) for the communities of Keppel Sands and Taranganba/Lammermoor to support safer, more connected and accessible walking routes.

Council has received funding through the Department of Transport and Main Roads’ Walking Local Government Grants Program (WLGGP) to prepare Walking Network Plans and Draft Works Programs (DWP) for both locations. These plans aim to embed walking into our long-term planning and infrastructure priorities to support healthy, active, liveable communities.

Late last year, we asked for community feedback on walking in your local area — including what’s working well, what needs improving, and where better connections are needed. Using this input, Council has developed draft walking networks for Keppel Sands and Lammermoor/ Taranganba identifying key destinations and proposed routes. You can view the draft proposed Walking Network Plans in the Document Library on the right.

We’re now checking back in to make sure we’ve got it right.

Residents and interested community members are invited to come along to a local community workshop to view the proposed pathways, share your thoughts, and help us refine the network before final plans are prepared.
