The Love Livingstone Street Flag Contest is a civic beautification initiative that strives to engage community members and showcase local artists. The contest is open to all members of the Livingstone Shire community and invites artists of all ages and abilities to share their vision of the Shire.

The contest features a call for entries that share what home means to you across six diverse themes reflecting Livingstone's rich tapestry:

  1. Nature
  2. Active Living
  3. Arts and Culture
  4. Connection
  5. Community
  6. Resilience

Submissions can encompass various visual art mediums, including photography, digital art, collage, painting and illustration, printmaking.

While the street flag poles stand tall in the Shire's civic centre, Yeppoon, we welcome and encourage submissions that celebrate the broader Livingstone community.

Our local Regional Arts Development Fund Assessment Panel will shortlist five entries from each theme to showcase the breadth of talent within our community.

The community will be invited to have their say in selecting the winning design for each theme from the shortlisted entries. You will be able to cast your vote for your favourites from 22 April to 3 May, and be a part of shaping a vibrant and beautiful Livingstone community.

Six captivating designs will grace 30 street flags across Yeppoon, embodying the spirit and creativity of our community.

In recognition of their artistic contribution, the six winners will be awarded a $300 Honorarium, to show our appreciation for their role in enhancing the visual vibrancy of our Shire.
